I spotted an advert in PC pro which sounded very appealing. As a teacher I'm usually busy with marking and teaching and don't have a great deal of time to teach myself how to do anything more exciting than basic HTML coding.

The 4DSite Designer product and support team have been extremely helpful with the design and development of our website. We are a unique school with international children, a working farmyard and a three acre woodland so we needed a website tailored to suite our needs. Web designers at 4DSites were very willing to support an enthusiastic teacher, with limited web designing background, with this challenging task!

From publication of the active web pages we, with support of designers from 4DSits, have carefully worked out what kind of website our school needed. Their software managed to create templates easily and then content was added quickly to the pages. We needed pages that were easily updated and altered to show interested browsers what kind of events take place.

We created pages for main areas of school to support enquiries from interested parents with children ready to enter school or current parents with children already at the school. Children in the computer club can help to update class information and add images of their own work and school activities. Staff can log on and alter their own information page, class information and also add images to make more of an impact. People who can type in boxes, and use a digital camera can create a page which looks great.

With the support of 4DSite Designer we have managed to create an educational website which is easily and quickly updated by the people at school who want to promote our school on the WWW.

The new site looks great. Prospective parents can find out about our unique school by going to our website. Latest newsletters give current parents information and also important information is posted on the site. Teachers can update information about their year group activities and also add photographs of exciting work and delightful classrooms.

I can change the welcome message on the front page at the click of a few buttons, and staff lists can be updated and changed quickly and easily. Staff also have space where they can add information about themselves and what they like to do in their spare time! "

This is an exciting project with bags of potential. The school now has the capability to reach out across the world and as we have a diverse, international community this is a fantastic opportunity for all of our families, friends and contacts. We are just scratching the surface as far as what can be achieved and look forward to a successful partnership with 4DSites over the coming years!
